Pastors Marcus and Paige have a wonderful story of victory, restoration, and of God the Father’s goodness and mercy. Marcus and Paige were married on May 25, 2003, which is a day they celebrate as a day of restoration. Both of their spouses had gone home to be with Lord; hence when they were married it was a day that brought victory and restoration of what had been lost. The Whitman’s have three children, Hope, Joel and Kathryn and three grandchildren. They are thankful for their family and all that the Lord has done.
Marcus has a Bachelor of Science degree from Samford University and attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine for 3 plus years. It was during his fourth year of Medical School that he heard the call of God to enter into full time ministry, which he did in February of 1988. He has served the local church in several roles, which include Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor and Senior Pastor. Paige helped pioneer Word of Life Church in Jackson, MS. in 1981 with her first husband. She became the Sr. Pastor in 2001 after he stepped into Heaven. She continued in this role for a year and a half until her son Joel became the pastor in 2002.
In 2003 Paige joined Marcus in Birmingham, Al. where he was serving in the local church as an Associate Pastor. In the fall of 2006 they followed the Lord’s leading to become the Senior Pastors of Cheyenne Christian Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They moved from Birmingham in December with their youngest daughter, Kathryn, and became the Pastors of Cheyenne Christian Center on January 1, 2007. They believe that they have been called to Cheyenne to raise up a church family that has a heart for the lost, a desire to grow in God’s grace and to serve one another in the love of the Lord. Pastors Marcus and Paige believe that the local church is a family that loves and supports each other as they reach out into the Harvest.
Marcus and Paige are licensed and ordained ministers through Rhema Bible Training Center and are members of RHEMA Ministerial Association International.
